My wife and I both are still shook up about the whole thing, but glad everyone is ok. A description of the suspect was provided to the police: 5'8 medium build with black hoodie and red bandana covering face, long shorts, 9MM gun, appeared to be a Hispanic male in his early 20's. The truck was...
My Yukon that was so much fun is officially gone...
As you may have heard it was carjacked Sunday evening 11/22/09 at 5:45pm near 3rd St.@Attayac St. in Austin, Tx. The suspect armed with a 9MM jumped out of a black suburban and demanded the keys from my wife just as she exited our Yukon...
Yukon headlight removal appears to be very similar to doing so on a Tahoe. I have added two pics to Gambler's quote below. This is how I have removed mine in numerous instances:
At this point I GENTLY pull the unbolted grille mount forward until the plastic guides are exposed and hold the...
Only slight lifting would be necessary.

bad63lac,
For my Yukon... I'm wanting to do a similar mod such as that which you did with your fogs here... but for my H13-4 setup using the stock headlight base. I can't seem to find HID H13-4 bulbs that securely seat without modification and/or breaking due to the base being poorly...
My first truck was black... it looked great after being waxed but was very difficult to keep that way. The slightest bit of dust in the air would easily prompt another wash. If I ever own a black vehicle again it will not be my daily driver... I have had white vehicles every since. Same...
After driving your vehicle do you ever notice a static charge has built up? And when you touch a metal body panel (for example, when you get out and close the door) you end up discharging it by making the ground connection? How can this be prevented? It is much worse after adding the escalade...
I'll have to figure something out... they fit in the housing but the nubs which hold the bulb in place after it is twisted clockwise have busted off. These are obviously low quality bulbs, I barely twisted them and shouldn't have to modify them in the first place. I'd rather not silicone...
F360, What brand is your kit? Also you mentioned the hi/lo beams are reversed... can you switch the plugs (either ballast inputs or hi bulb/lo bulb input) around to correct it?
Is anyone running the H13-4 HID kit? Did you have issues getting the bulbs to securely seat in the housing without breaking any of the three nubs/tabs off of the bulb? The stock bulbs obviously fit perfectly... however the HID bulbs I'm coming across need to be modified so the exterior tabs...
My 2008 GMC Yukon does the same thing... sometimes the starter stays engaged for an extended period. This never occurs on the first crank of the day, but rather only after driving somewhere then starting it again about 20 minutes later.... but it is not consistant otherwise. The dealership I...
Unfortunately they are not a simple plug and play install; it can be done quite easily however if you would like the ability to keep your stock tail lights intact(to perhaps reinstall them when taking the vehicle in for warranty work) some extra effort will be needed. Alot of information is on...
