Could be a number of things- but yeah a starter that is out of alignment or a driver who engages the starter too long/ while the engine is running can damage a flex plate.
I've pulled a horse trailer with my 1996. If you are pulling 5000+ pounds you will get pushed around a lot on the highway. If you are set on using your Tahoe as a tow vehicle I would recommend installing some stiffer suspension components and making sure your brakes are solid.
Mine is a 96- but the principle is the same. You can also use smoke from a cigar to see if you are getting any wind. (it is easy to see the smoke move/ blow away from a slight crack)

I had this problem- The weather stripping around the door wasn't forming a good seal when I shut the door.
All I did was buy a new strip and used some silicon around the edges to keep it down and the sound went away.

Has anyone bypassed their AC compressor??
My AC system has a leak somewhere and instead of trying to fix it I decided I would just try to bypass the compressor with a bolt-on pulley kit. (40 bucks)
The only problems I can foresee is a trouble code or something- any knowledge...
