Well, went to the dealership and they hooked up a Tech II scanner and it's the bank 1 and bank 2 error codes. Both were running Lean fuel trim at 24%.
They did find a rubber connector hose to the PCV valve was half split. Replacing that, and resetting the module made bank 1 and bank 2 run at...
TallyDAWG, you might not be the only one with this issue. My Yukon turned up with bank 1 and bank 2 error code today. Went to the dealership and my fuel trim is running really lean. There was a hose/tube to the PCV valve that had a leak, but also my throttle body fitting was lose. Maybe it gets...
Hi all, had my check engine like go off this morning. Had On-Star run a diag and it came back with 2 error codes, regarding "Lean Fuel Trim". I'm going to have it checked out by the dearlship, but is this something to be concerned over?
Not sure if its related, but yesterday, I was backing...
Thats how mine fits as well, but I don't feel its loose around the TB. I made sure to tighten the clamp a lot and gave it a slight tug to make sure it won't just pop off. Hope that helps.
Sorry, I don't yet. I called the dealership to set a time to bring it and they said I had to leave it for the entire day. The Yuke is the family transport and we've been too busy to lose it for the day.
While on the phone though, the rep said it could be an actuator thats stuck. Not sure why...
Yes, I don't understand the thought there either. You'd think there was some sort of reprogam so you can use recirculate all the time.
I really love this truck, but that and it having no cabin filter is just RIDCULOUS!
I guess I'm off to the dealer. Every time I turn the AC or recirculate...
When I hit the recycle/recirculate air button, the air conditioner seems to turn on.
Also, when recycle air is off, I get a stale burnt odor from the coming out of vent.
This is on an '07 Denali. I'd like to hear opinons on what the probable causes might be.
My front windshield defog is horrible. I'll have the temp set on 68* and it still blows out warm/hot air on the drivers side. Passenger side blows out cold air.
Anyone else with this problem?
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
Yes and its working out great. Thanks for help BTW.
I can't give you feedback whether to upgrade or not cause I've never used the standard "oiled" air filter.
Reasons why I went with the powercore is because I'm lazy and not having to bother with the air filter for 100K...
The power core filter is suppose to be good up to 100K miles. It's also does not use oil on the filter so thats probably better for the MAF sensor.
Price difference if you order the entire kit is about $35 - $45 bucks.
What make headrest dvd system do you have? Is it the Rosen system?
If so, there's a speaker button on the headrest and remote. It looks like the sound icon ))). You press that(on the headrest you have the dvd in) and it will display on the screen which FM or AM station to tune into, like 87.5...
Getwired, thanks.. The install was pretty easy. The only thing I wasn't sure about was taking off the bottom airbox plate. Questioned whether it was suppose to come off or if I received the wrong Volant part.
After double checking the part number, I said heck, take it off and lets go for a...
Just got my Volant intake system today. Did you received step by step directions or just a schematic?
Also, the metal plate that hell up the old air box, do you removed that completely to fit the Volant in? I had to take it off. Hope that wasn't a no-no.:nono:
Getwired, no worries about a long post. More info the better.
So if I'm reading your post correctly, after you installed the Volant only, you saw ~1.1mpg gain and then further mods as well as driving like grandpa yielded more mpg gains? Its really tough to drive under 65 with this truck...
All I can say is I hope you get it fixed or the truck replaced. My Denali at times, not always has an ever so slight shake sitting at a red light or warming up at idle. Almost like the truck let out a baby burp. Never while driving though.
I want to say its similar to what Nitan describes...
Oh ok. I was asking because I just bought a case of Royal Purple to try out and if there's something wrong with it, I'd probably return it.
$90 bucks is steep. I don't know the cost price for Pep Boys on royal purple, but my local Kragen had it for $6.99 a quart. Considering these trucks...
Well, there goes my plug to give Fram a fair shake. :ack: So much for being objective.
I still prefer K&N oil filters. Even if all things are equal, I like the 1" nut for easy removal. Now if someone would confirm which one is the correct filter that'll fit an '07 Denali, it'll save me a...
