What is the preferred method to smoking tail lights??? Night Shades followed by clear coat or just tinting some clear coat with some black paint???
I am no stranger to painting (did that for a job and hobby for a while) but I am new to smoking tail lights. I want to smoke some G3's for my...
So I ordered up some RAAMMAT BXT last week and it came in today. I also ordered up some Ensolite to go with it.
I ordered 3 rolls (187.5 sq/ft) RAAMMAT BXT and 8 yards of Ensolite. I plan on doing the whole interior including the headliner. The headliner is actually why I'm doing it in the...
If you haven't already ordered the kit, look into the Spring Tech kit (spindles and coils). They sell them through ebay and they are quite a bit cheaper (less expensive) than Mcgaughys. I had both the Spring Tech and McGaughy's kits on my 'kon and prefer the Spring Tech. Easier to install and...
Try testing your sisters again and if hers fit perfect in yours then try the new one in her vehicle and see how it fits. If your lucky maybe hers will fit good in yours and the new one will fit good in hers. Don't know why it would work but its worth a shot before you bust the dremel out.
Thanks guys for the responses. As soon as I get some time I'll go pull down the headliner. I think I got some foam padding laying around, so I'll put that between the headliner and roof in the spot that maiking the noise. Hopefully it takes care of the problem.
I got a rattling right of above the front passenger seat. Haven't had the time to check it out yet. If I put my hand against it I can stop the noise.
Anyone have directions on removing the headliner????
I personally like the Generation 3's but in black. I would then tint them up a little bit (that's what I plan on doing once I get a little extra cash).
Here is what I am currently rocking on the Yukon.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lowering-Kit-2-3-Drop-07-08-ESCALADE-YUKON-SPINDLES_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247QQcategoryZ33586QQihZ023QQitemZ360054983350QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V
I traded out the Mcgaughy's spindle/spring set...
I had the 2/3 spring kit and it totally sucked. I upgraded to the spindles in the front and now it rides like factory. Deffinately upgrade to the spindles, it's the only way to go.
I don't run winter/summer tires, but when I go on a long trip I take off my 22's and put my factory 17's on to save on the gas and draw less attention to my Yukon when it ca't be garaged.
You have to re-calibrate the wheels each time you swap them out. It is really easy to do and does not require a trip to the dealer. There is information on how to do it in your owners manuel. It only takes a couple minutes. If you have problems doing it let me know and I can walk you through it.
Give the Mr Clean Magic Erasers a try, they worked on my windows' hard water spots. I think it should do the trick for you. Let me know if it works out for you, I know some hard water spots are worse than others and mine were not too terrible to begin with (still bad enough that any window...
Not mine, but here is a before and after picture of a Denali on 26's with a 2" Eibach kit on it, which as mentioned by CIATAHOE on the forum is really a 2/2.75 drop. Pretty much the same as the Mcgaughy's. Don't think you can go much lower with 26's without major rubbing.
