Finally Fixed ?????
Got it to the dealership.....again. This time when they ran a test of the battery it tested fine.....but, the mechanic decided to run another test later and that time it showed bad. They replaced the battery (under warranty) and thus far the ammeter has stayed above 12...
BULLS*** since the day I got my Yukon the meter has been all over the place. Battery has been dead 7 times since new. Dealership one time told me they tightened a loose bussbar and that should fix the problem....that was 3 dead times ago. Does ANYONE truly have an answer to this vexing...
First off, congrats....UT kicked our ass this year. That said, just found this fourm working again.....what happened? I joined the Tahoe Yukon Forum but found that a bunch of the info that was on here isn't there.
You don't need to drain unless you are planning on replacing the oil.....just have an extra quart on hand to replace any lost and be careful NOT to overfill.

Honestly, the factory filter is not the greatest and considering that the particles it has trapped are the ones from the engine first being machined you are placing your engine at risk if you keep it on very long. The price of oil vs. possible engine wear or damage on down the line is a no...
Found the mirrors on ebay....about $60 each including shipping....much less than from GM. Have to still get the switch...about $120 unless I can find it cheaper someplace. Tried the link provided by Tahoe Freak and it does not work....wonder what it contains???

Just got a new Navigation radio and want to get started with the installation. I know that from the unit to someplace below the dash/drivers side kick panel a VSS wire has to be run so that when the GPS can't receive signals the vehicle makes up for it by reporting speed and other information...
Go to ebay and get the cheapest mirror you can and change out the housings. Lots of listings for "our" mirrors there....you can find some as low as $10 bucks. Good luck.
Don't use a Mobile 1 filter, one of the worst on the market. WIX filter 57060. Has the best elements on the market along with thicker casing. No I don't have stock in the company....I'm a Quality Assurance Manager for a "MotorPool" and look for the best parts for the money and for service life.
Getting ready to install a Nav radio in my 07 Yukon XL. Got it on ebay new at a great price part # 25797978. Was reading this great post and tried to contact JP Customs, but NO JOY....they are out of business. Anyone know of another place to get the needed connectors and wiring? Also getting...
Just had this happen about a week ago....talk about pissed. It is soldered and I thought about doing it but then I said to myself....."Self....f**k em'" it's still almost new.....not even 9K yet and this happens. GM, fix it and fix it right and I don't care how much it cost. After...
You must activate the fog light switch every time you want to turn them on. Personally I think it's a pain in the ass to not have them "remember" the last way they were before the ignition was turned off.
Enjoy
I was told by the parts rep that they plug in to the back of the headlamps. He said it's a "piggyback" affair. Hope this helps. I had my add-on's done by the dealer as an after sale deal. Honestly I just lucked out that they offered to do it all for free.
OK, saying that one would still like to proceed can you be more specific about what has to be done and even part numbers. I don't mind the expense if the outcome is worth it. I wanted very much to have my Yukon warmed up for me in the mornings and cooled in the summer with the remote start but...
Broken Link
Yep, the first one is a bad link and the second one says it no longer exists. Hey Geek, what gives......we all want to learn.
BOOMER SOONER
My 07 Yukon XL has done a strange thing a few times. With everything running on high (A/C and Aux A/C) I'll come to a stop light and brake. While sitting there I will have the chimes come on several times and then the T/C (traction control) and ABS (braking system) will come on. When I start...
