Engine problem. I have no idea what I'm doing.

If it isn't the coolant temp sensor I'd look at the fuel filter, fuel pump, and injectors. Somewhere along the line something isn't functioning like it should, and usually with an issue like this it is delivery related.

    Brights Not Turning On

I'd start small and then work my way big. Do your turn signals still work? My guess just from what you have written is that it would be in the steering column. Switches have a bad habit of breaking with age...

    Deal or No Deal?

Not a problem. I'm sorry to hear that they were jerking you around like that. I would have walked as soon as I heard any type of wavering in what they told me over the phone. I feel like if you can't stand by your words and what you tell me, then I don't want to have anything to do with you -...

Final Decision on Air intake system

If I were you I would stray away from the Vara Ram system. I'm just not a fan of ram systems...and the design of the one especially. It seems like if you were to end up running through a good pile of water, etc., you could easily flood your engine. It also has a considerably larger surface area...

How accurate is the oil life indicator?

I think that it is just what you are comfortable with. I have seen some people with Diesel trucks change their oil every 50k miles with regular analysis done and some top-offs. Some of these trucks have had well over 200k miles on them without any issues. I have a friend with a Honda (I know...

    2013 Tahoe: PPV or SSV?

That's what I was thinking too. I'm going to run these RSA's down to the bone and replace them with something that has a taller side-wall to help fill out the wheel well. That's about the only appearance thing on these that I don't like. Seems like the tire is almost too small for the rig...

    2007 Tahoe Won't start

Figures! Always the last thing you look at. ;) At least you have a new starter that you're not going to have to worry about for quite some time. Did you replace the terminal strip, or just remove it? Anyways, I'm glad that you were able to diagnose the problem. Hopefully your rig keeps...

    08 tahoe hybrid lemon feedback

Personally, I wouldn't do it either. When you have something that is consistently going wrong, especially after trying to fix it several times in a row, usually a sign of even worse things to come.

About to Buy Used LTZ — A Few Questions

As far as I know, there are not too many differences in between all of those years. Might have a couple of options that are more desirable for you, you just need to figure out exactly what you are wanting!

07 Tahoe-Expected Battery Life and Replacement Ideas

Vehicle batteries tend to last a long time, you can usually expect somewhere between 5 to 7 years out of one. If yours is still working well, then you're good to go. Extreme weather will take its toll though, especially the heat. But how relatively cheap the batteries are compared how long you...

    2007 Tahoe Won't start

It could be a bad starter, but then again, could be a host of other things. Might have an electrical short that's causing it to drain the battery, your alternator might be bad, no telling really unless you get it into the mechanic.

    2007 tahoe question??

Most modern cars are built to last quite a long time. As long as they have been maintained properly and regularly they should outlasts 150,000 miles easily. As long as they're asking for a fair price and you are comfortable with what you're getting, then you are definitely good to go!

    new tahoe

I suppose that it depends on what you mean by shaking in the wind. Being an SUV, you will notice more effect on the vehicle from Highwinds, especially compared to a car. There are no real differences between the 2012 and 2013 Tahoes, but 2014 will be a brand-new run. Just depends on what you...

    oil change

Definitely follow the manual. Too much, or too little, oil is very bad for the engine. Replace the required amount of oil with the new filter, and you will be good to go!

    Deal or No Deal?

That seems like a really great deal to me. I would jump all over that myself, as long as you are comfortable with the payments and mileage restrictions. I wouldn't worry about the warranty too much - it seems like these are pretty bulletproof, and on top of that, it's a lease! If anything goes...

    2013 Tahoe LTZ Idle Shudder/Vibration

Mine is running real smooth as well - sorry to hear that yours is having a problem. I don't think that with that low amount of mileage you should be experiencing any issues... I would keep pushing to find an answer.

    2013 Tahoe: PPV or SSV?

The ride is a little more rough - but it's the nature of the beast. I can't imagine that the 4x4 would be any different - similar suspension (at least that's my understanding). I know that I love mine!! Like it even more with the price ;)
