Still don't know what is wrong, but will wait until next summer. But one thing I learned is that instead of an expansion valve, the Tahoe has an orifice, which is located under the radiator somewhere. It's a $10 part.

I traced this wire (which is about 1/8" in diameter) further. It goes down to the passenger side frame rail, then under the lower radiator hose, and then straight forward and under a metal support. That's as far as I can see. Anyone have any ideas? What's this wire for?

On my 2008, the larger wire goes to the front of the engine, on the top. Very easy to check, and it is tight. But the smaller wire that heads up under the air intake is the problem.

Give me a little heads up on what to expect when I take a look at the wire that comes off the negative terminal of the battery and runs up under the air intake. What does it connect to? Is it easy to get to in order to see if it is tight?

Trailing arm, thanks! Actually I thought that WAS part of the frame when I was doing it. Since this error, I looked in the manual and see that they recommend putting the jack under the rear axle and in the front under the frame where two of the frame members overlap.

I just tried to jack up the passenger rear side of my Tahoe and I put the jack under some kind of stamped metal arm that goes back to the axle, and it bent a little. Is this going to cause problems? Where am I supposed to put the jack -- under the housing at the base of the shock?
