I have an 07 Tahoe with the 5.3. Around town driving I get 12-14 at best. I'm not a light foot drive. I've made 2 round trips to Cincinnati from Chicago. When I'm on cruise at 55-65 I was getting 18. When I got ti I65 and the speed was 70 I set the cruise at 78 and the fuel dropped to 16.5.

Noticed the same thing on my 07 LTZ, took it in and they said that it was normal. I asked to see another in the lot and sure enough. I agree that it's a poor design.

I have an 07 Tahoe and I just love this thing. One annoyance I have is the when the wipers are on either in intermit or on. When the drivers side wiper swipes to the left there is a noticeable click. It's been there since new. I've got 7000 miles. Anyone else having this problem.
