    trip report

Just completed a 6000 mile trip through 9 states in 18 days. Overall, the car performed very well with a total average of 20.1 mpg. The flat front end catches lots of bugs and there is a wind noise in the gap where the top of the windshield is attached. Very comfortable ride and all systems...

Splash Mud Guard for 2015 Tahoe!

Front and rear splash guards are different. Part of the installation requires the use of tape that is attached to the guards; getting them to stick in place is problematic. I had to use a couple of small black screws to get them to stay in place. The screw(s) are not noticeable unless you are...

    Grease Fittings

for anyone interested; there indeed grease fittings on the front suspension of this vehicle. They look like tie rod ends, just forward of the top ball joint on each side. There is a zerk in each one of them. Be sure to remind those doing the oil changes to lube them thanks jwt

thank you for your response. I was just confused that the voltmeter was rock-solid for the first 800 miles then started bouncing around. jwt

    Alternator or Generator

New Tahoe. After the first 800 miles; the voltmeter stayed pegged at 14 VDC, regardless of electrical load. After a 200 mile trip today, the voltmeter alternates between 14 VDC and 12.5 VDC with the same load. The service department says that this is normal. They also claim that this car has...

How do you lock the car?

2015 LT with Remote Control. Passive door unlock is confusing. As we understand it; we get out of the car, and lock the car with the remote. We put the remote in our pocket. As long as we are 3 feet from the door someone can come to either side and open the door by pushing the little silver...
