towing
I realize this comment is 4 years old, but towing a 6,000 pound boat at 65mph is much safer with 24s in my opinion.
There is almost no lateral movement on the rear axle, so the trailer is far less likely to start swaying back and forth. When you need to apply the brake...
most chrystler vehicles can have the fogs come on with the parking lights everytime you get in, but in most GM and Ford vehicles you have to manually turn them on everytime.
what really drives me nuts is REAR fog lights. you see them on european vehicles that look like a brake light bulb is...
front turn signal/parking light HID
can someone help me pickout some LEDs for the front?
i got a set on ebay, but they are too big to fit into the housing, and the brighter (turn signal) leds are too dim.
i dont want to keep buying crappy LEDs i want something bright, at least stock...
guys, i wanted to test out my new canon eos rebel T2i and it was dark outside, so i took some footage of the led tail lights and hids. shot it in 720p simply because i could. 1080 seemed overkill for a night time shot.

the color of LEDs is...
if i try and backup my boat without the right 5 pin trailer wiring plug, its physically impossible to reverse. the trailer brakes lock and wont let the wheels rotate backwards unless the reverse pin sees 12v.
dont put HIDs in your fog lamps if you plan on keeping them on all the time, it just blinds people.
if you don't like the stock lamps or color temp, i would suggest ripping them out entirely and replacing them with something else. hella makes a lot of different lights...

i think some 2500 Suberbans have an optional Diesel...it makes sense because if they can put it in the pickups, they can put it in the suberbans.
if someone told me it wasnt available the yukons, i would believe it.
seriously? no one wants to contribute how many miles they got on their 24" tires?
i'm at 50,000 miles and it looks like i can get another 10k.
this seems like a lot to me.
anyone?
my 24's are just about ready for a 2nd set of tires, and i was shocked when i realized how many miles i had on the tires. i have heard the horror stories of guys getting like 20k out of a set of tires.
im curious of other tires are lasting this long...

hey
does anyone know the part number of the trim piece that holds the escalade 3rd brake light itself to the rear glass? It's difference than the yukon trim piece that goes on the glass to make the 3rd brake light fit right. I thought it was a direct bolt on, but it's not. Just to clarify...
Hey guys,
I am going to be adding an aftermarket transmission cooler this weekend to my 2006 Denali with 45,000 miles on it. I tow a 27 foot boat around locally but I will be making a 4 hour trip towing the boat next month. I dont like the transmision temp gauge when it's around 200, i like...
BEFORE YOU REPLY: For this post, I would ask that anyone who posts please focus on the feasibility of a gasoline V8 internal combustion engine running on hydrogen strictly from a mechanical standpoint. I would ask that for all intensive purposes that no one discusses the obvious drawbacks or...
I'm getting a "reduced engine power" on the display in the dash. Also turns off the stability system for the AWD. It's a 06 denali with 44k on it. I noticed another guy got this message, and someone mentioned pulling codes. i dont want the check engine light on anymore so i am going to pull...
i know how its done i just dont want to waste anymore film learning.
tast101 - thank you for finding that guy travish, he offered to do it for me but then stopped responding so i think he doesnt want to anymore.
might have to keep trying to heat shrink it....
any of you guys know how to heat shrink a piece of wondow tint for the full windsheild? if you want to make a few bucks by shrinking the film and mailing it to me in a tube it would be awesome. i have tried about 5 times to do it myself and im just wasting film.
whole windshield 35%, not...
judging by your post, if both mirrors started acting up in the same manner at the same time, it's probably not a coincedence. you know its not the motors because both are acting the same. this might seem weird, but try this...
use the motors to fold the mirrors out (90 degrees). then...
I tint windows (or used to) on the side. Since i'm not an authorized shop, i get my tint from some dude who only sells madico.
What are you odds you would shrink a 35% peice over your windshield and then leave the backing on, roll it up into a tube, and mail it to me? I'm in mass.
inspection stickers are not an issue. my roomate from college inspects my car. if you don't know someone, everyone knows the value of a good tip. if they don't, the next guy will...
if state troopers can rock 20% tint, so will I.
