if your truck didn't come with 20's from the factory, have the truck reflashed to accept the 20 tires. Also have a good alignment done with someone willing to try a few different settings. Sometimes just getting to a factory spec just isn't good enough. I had this problem when we dropped ours...
ok, so you plugged the connector with two wires, that came with your kit into the VCIM box under the radio. It should actually be plugging into J3 which is the third spot from the right while the unit is in the dash or right next to the two alreadly plugged in. From there you need to take the...
The 5100 series are for designed for lifted trucks. Just ordered the hd series front/rear. The hd are for stock height setups. We're running a 2/3 drop and 24's but we are running spindles keeping the stock length mounting locations so i'll let you know how they ride on the tahoe. I usually run...
question on the 50 startups:
Are you guys leaving your unit in xm/radio mode or Nav mode?
if i have the nav mode on its ask everytime I turn on the truck
if i have the xm/radio mode on it just flashes the chevy screen
Getwired, i got them around the end of last year or right at the beginning of this year, i can't remember exactly. To this date no problems, no flickering during operation, no dead leds. The only wierd thing they do is if the lights time out (leave a door open) and you turn that light on via the...
the chimes output is on the Left front speaker, so when you put in the amp it amplifies the chime as well. You can use the front right channel and feed into the Left in on the amp and this would kill the chimes. The only draw back is you will lose Stereo Left/Right at the amp......
someone's going to be a very happy customer.......We have the SW Series on our Tahoe and have been very pleased. Its over a year old and the finish is like new. Its never tarnished and shines like it was just polished..........Just installed the newly released Tundra SW a few weeks ago and must...
Welcome.....If the aftermarket nav you use has a video out than you can feed that to the overhead or whatever rear seat entertainment you have. You will need a interface to retain onstar and other features such as door chimes. There is a plug and play harness that plugs into the RSE wires giving...
little secret here for I had the same problem. Before turning any bolts, heat the studs with a mini torch, of course be very careful as to not overheat them. It takes about 10-15 seconds to cook the coating out. Let cool 15 seconds, remove the nuts. Very stupid design in deed........
You...
most people mount the controller to the right of the steering wheel at the bottom of the dash. Its out of the way and still easy to reach when needed. In the new 07 GM's they ditched the plug harness and left you wires under the dash. Look under the left side of the dash under the brake release...
It just might have to be reprogrammed. I installed my nav(used) over a year ago. I just wired in the harness for the voice feature earlier this week. It worked first try. I had to make the harness because JP didn't have the plug for the VCIM back then. I was lucky and found the part number and...

2-3 wire plug from VCIM J3 (module under the Nav)
VCIM Pin 2 goes to pin 4(c1) at Nav
VCIM Pin 4 goes to pin 5(c1) at Nav
VCIM Pin 5 (if 3 wire) is a blunt cut drain wire
If this is all correct try this:
Goto Nav, address...
putco's are plugin and grab shades......I too have made the switch from superunbright LEDS. Putco gave me some for trial before the release and I have had not one issue with them.
