has anyone used these gaskets or the gm equivalent. i hear they are far superior to the older style. on the gm website it states that different bolts are needed. is this true for the felpro as well? Does the felpro come only the 2 gaskets or is the upper and lower set the only way it comes?

Check Power In And Out Of The Lock Switch. If Good, Check Wiring In The Door Jamb. Posible Break In Wire For The Lock Switch. Good Luck,

These Fuel Pumps Get "lazy". Common Problem.

t case fuse in the panel on the drivers side of dash was blown, changed it and blew instantly. all the lights on the 4wd switch assembly light up in random combinations, changing as you drive, for example all 5 light up or any combination of 4, 3 ,2 1, or none.

with truck off ground and in neutral, move rear driveshaft back and forth. you can then feel the play in the rear. if you can move it back a nd forth alot without feeling any resistance in the shaft, you have excessive play in the rear.

bad socket assembly. they do go bad on these trucks. check for voltage at bulb socket when the pedal is pressed. if not good, pull off electric connector at back of lamp assembly and repeat voltage check. if good, bad lamp assembly.

seems to be a common problem, only noticable at speeds under 20-25ish. thanks for the quick replies.

agree with sepiroth completely. check fuel pressure. may have sucked up junk from bottom of fuel tank. possibly clogging fuel filter and or frying pump. good luck, post your findings.

pop out radio and give a visual check of it. also if you saw smoke the ac/heat assembly should smell like electrical burn.

timming must be set with a scanner. it needs to be at zero degrees + or - 1 degree.

could be a problem in the combination/turn signal switch.

lazy fuel pumps are a constant problem on these trucks. check or have checked your fuel pressure.

have air ride in '03 EXT. cant stand it. imo, horrible ride for that type vehicle. ride is harder than my 98 tahoe. adjustments?

remove belt and see if p/s pulley moves excesively inward and outward. if so, suspect broken pump shaft. happened to mine.
