To the right of and i thinkk attached to the steering column is a little box with a harness and about 14 wires. That is where it was on my '99. I bypassed the whole works and just put in a proper after market amp to run the doors and rear.

Soon after I bought my Yukon, I installed an aftermarket deck. As always, lost the rear door speakers as well. Recently bought 4-6.5" speakers thinking I would just by-pass the factory amp. It kinda worked but one rear door speaker still didn't work and made the good speaker sound terrible from...

Crowdogg -"I'm not sure if the speaker inputs to the amp com directly from the stereo, from the rear roof speakers, or from a splice somewhere". Has anyone found this out yet? I want to hook up an amp for the middle and rear speakers using the RCA output on my aftermarket head unit.
