This is not the most user friendly forum, terrible picture posting limits.
Question; ok so you are turning on your Relay with Headlight PWM drive signal?
So my question is Is the Daytime driving light mode signal, which is about 1/2 the frequency of headlights, does your relay pull in with DRL...
please elaborate on the changes you did to swap in factory Hid.
stock headlights on these Halogen should never have been approved as sufficient lighting.
wireless charging is wireless charging, your iphone will not charge because the Tahoe uses a single loop(cheap) charge coil, has to exactly in the sweet spot and has to be closer to the back of your phone, GM charging pad is about 1/8" thick, remove this cover and replace with something...
first thing you need to figure out is if your headlights are Projector type or Reflector type.
This determines type of bulb you use 2015-18 Tahoe is Projector housing with crappy Halogen bulb.
you can actually tune the LED's light pattern by rotating the led bulb slightly, on good quality...
go to image in album right click, copy image location.
paste into comments. done.
their picture size and limits is very small, you can't post a good picture hardly.
due to picture size limit.
yes I did have power seats, reach under drivers side front of seat to unplug.
no other changes required.
more info:
in another forum someone lost their antenna signal after doing this,
they had accidentally unplugged the antenna, so be mindful of any extra connectors in the floor board area.
HID lights require extra hardware, Relays and harness, they draw more current.
LEDs are plug and play, if you select the right Leds lights.
Leds are nearly as brite as HID these days.
I installed LED in low, High and Fog lights, literally night and day difference.
thanks Chevrolet for giving me...
the rear springs installed on the Tahoe are extremely stiff, makes it ride like a log truck.
swap springs to 2" lower springs by Mcgaughty, it will ride like a Cadillac !
built in charger has 2 problems.
1 single loop charging coil, phone must be positioned exactly centered over phone coil.
2. the pad gm installed is very thick, so much it weakens the charging field.
reduce pad thickness, find your sweet spot, trim the rubber pad to fit your phone.
your stock light circuit does not have enough power,
and wrong type of control (PWM) for HID.
either add HID power harness, or switch to LED using stock wiring control.
adding a battery will not help, your inverter has a max. wattage output.
you will either need to replace the built in inverter, or add a new higher wattage inverter someplace on the vehicle.
once you remove the 7 bolts, and remove the seat you will find the carpet and padding have holes all over the place. i had to cut a 4x4 sheet plywood to fit to make a solid base to transport cargo. then throw in a cargo liner. terrible for a 70k premiere vehicle.
next worst thing crappy headlights.
