I don’t know what it is, but I can’t seem to send PMs on this forum. I can receive them. PMs work fine through Tapatalk and a browser for other forums.
For those of you that have sent me a PM about a console harness, I’m not ignoring you. Please email me at cmattbuild1 AT gmail DOT...
I can help. In 2015, GM was using a 23 pin connector for the jump seat harness. It changed to a 16 pin connector for 2016+ models. Those connections in the floor shown in the pics of the earlier post are for a jump seat. It's my understanding the PPV/SSV Tahoes will have those connections...
To answer your question, yes, I’m using the PWM to activate the relay. I’m doing this on a 2015 Yukon. It uses LED DRLs across all the trims. The headlights aren’t part of the DRL functionality like the Tahoe’s are.
Let me think on it. The LED strip on the Tahoe headlight should...
This is ridiculous! I just re-created the post via PC. It initially showed, but then disappeared. Any ideas? I don't think it's operator error, but who knows.
Anyway, to answer Tahoe2017 in a very condensed version, the pulse width modulated (PWM) signal used by suvs with halogen bulbs...
So I just made this great post in response to Tahoe2017’s question, hit reply and it’s nowhere to be found. Way to go Tapatalk. SMH

Agreed. A lot left to be desired of them.
The primary challenge between OEM halogen and HID headlight assemblies is the way GM sends the +12v signal to power the lights. Halogen uses a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal and HID is a constant +12v. For halogen, the modulated +12v signal...
From what I understand, it is possible. It may require a different clock-spring to accommodate the wiring. There should be a small black connector wrapped up the the steering wheel harness wiring under the dash. That’s for the heated steering wheel.

Tahoe2017 is correct, the LS/LT headlight assemblies have halogen projectors in them. Outside of the bulb mounting differences (H11 for halogen & D3S for HID), the projectors may be designed differently for each type.
I have successfully swapped in OEM HID headlight assemblies in my 2015 SLT...
GM actually offers an upgrade for this issue.
Wireless charging module update, GM part number 84526978 (plug/play harness)
