    AutoRide Question

I'd start with the basics. There has to be a fuse or relay somewhere for the power to the autoride air compressor. Find it and make sure its not blown. From there locate the compressor and run 12 volts to it.

So I have an 03 Hoe with capt chairs. I currently have a 3 yr old and a 15 month old in kid seats. Found out yesterday another is on the way (Oct). So what should I do? Stick the oldest in a booster in the rear or swap out the capts for a bench? I found an old thread about GM suggesting...

to those who have replaced fuel filter

Yep, remove the plastic clip on the replacement filter and you're good to go. The plastic clip's function is now replaced by a set of metal "teeth" which hold the filter in place. Thats why nothing else worked for me. The right tool made this a no brainer and took 10 secs to get the filter off.

to those who have replaced fuel filter

Tips here: http://tahoeforum.com/showthread.php?t=10673 I got the right tool and it popped right off. Well worth the $15. The Flex Fuel Tahoe's don't have the little plastic retaining clip that most GM cars have so I couldn't get the pliers trick to work.

HELP bleeding brakes on 04 Tahoe

The main thing to keep in mind is don't let the master run dry. As long as there is fluid in the master you don't have to worry about air in the system. If however you do get air in the system (mushy pedal) a dealer will have to use a Tech II cycle the module to get air out of it. I've bled a...

    Tips for maximizing fuel economy

One thing that has been overlooked is the fuel filter. If you haven't changed it in awhile (20k miles) do it. I replaced mine last week (60k miles don't know when it was changed last) and got about 1.5 mpg more on the hwy and 1 mpg city. Not much but every little bit helps.

when do brake pads wear out on Tahoes ???

wow I've never heard of pads lasting that long either. After that long though I may replace them just to be on the safe side. My 03 has 60 K and no real signs of wear but I'm gonna replace them within a month or two anyway. After nearly 6 years its worth looking at 'em.

    Replacing the rear brakes

Rear brakes are only responsible for about 25% of the braking force. You'd get a lot better bang for the buck upgrading the fronts and keeping stock replacement rear parts.

'02 Tahoe w/P0102 Code - Seems to run fine

P01002 is Mass Airflow low freq so you're on the right track. The ECM (engine computer) will ignore the MAF and run off a VE table and will run pretty normally, enough so you probably couldn't tell the difference. As for troubleshooting, not sure where that fuse is either. Can you get...

What is your MPG with your Tahoe?

I got my 03 Hoe from my uncle, he would reset the DIC every month. Read 15.5 MPG. On the long hwy trip, 800+ miles, back to my house last Jan (08) I got 15.8 and nearly cried. I have HP tuners and played with the tune a little and now it avgs 16.5 about 70% city driving and 18.5 on the...
