I have an 03 , and mine can use flex fuel. Check the 8th digit in your VIN. If it is a Z you can use flex fuel. If it's a T you can only use regular fuel.
those look nice! I'm with ya on the salt. I put new wheels on in Oct and this winter has been hard on them. I'm wishing I would have kept my stock wheels/tires.
The look of the car is important to me. The very first thing I did was get rid of the original wheels. We put new wheels/tires the 1st day we had it. That weekend we did the air intake, and about a month later the exhaust (I count this as aesthetics because I did it for the sound:thumbsup: )...
Whew! 7 hours! Looks Good! Hopefully I can get mine washed tomorrow. It's been raining too much to get it really clean. By the end of the month hopefully I can shine mine up!
Yeah I took it in and got 5 codes back. 3 for oxygen sensors that are bad, and 2 for a lean fuel mixture. Now I'm really wishing it was that gas cap. $30 is a lot better than $240!!
For mine there was a seperate code for each sensor. Sensor 1 bank 1, sensor 2 bank 1, and sensor 2 bank 2. How many total are there? Maybe I should replace the rest too.
Thanks for the info guys! That post was perfect. I did a search trying to find something like that but it didn't come up. It looks easy enough. You guys are great!
So, I stopped by autozone and had them pull the codes for my Tahoe. He said that I have 3 oxygen sensors that need to be replaced. Something about a malfunction in the heater circuit?? There were 5 codes total, 3 for sensors and 2 for fuel system too lean. How hard is replacing the oxygen...
I think I'll take it back to Autozone today. If it is the gas cap, is it just because it is loose? I'll try the small repairs first, and then move on to the big ones! What about calibration? Someone that had a Tahoe a few years ago told me that he had to calibrate something after their...
I have the same iSimple set up (I love it!) Mine is on all the time and i haven't had any problems with the battery. We did get a new battery shortly after I had it installed though. Good luck, i hope you get it fixed:)
Thanks! The engine light has been on since about Oct. we thought that once the weather warmed up it would go off (we were also having a problem with the car shaking when i was stopped at a light. once the engine warmed up it would stop) Someone told me to get it calibrated. Do you think that...
