So I took it in and explained the issue to them. A few hours later they called me and said that they had replaced the Intermediate Steering Shaft under warranty.
I have not yet been able to adequately test it to be sure this has fixed the problem because I do not go over roads on my commute...
Yep - same with mine. I have a 2006 Z71 and it rattles when I am turning the steering wheel and going over uneven pavement. When steering wheel is straight, no problems.
I took mine to the dealer today armed with the TSB if needed. I'll let you know how it turns out.
My '06 Z71 has only 25K, but with gas prices, we are using it only for trips and other occassions when the whole family will be in it for more than just around town.
It hasn't been in the shop yet, but lately I have felt something mysterious in the steering - hard to describe the sensation...
I think 34-35 is a happy medium between the two extremes. I will go with that and see how it goes. Thanks for the feed back.
Lap Top Gamer - I like my Aura just fine. It is safe and comfy. According to the DIC, I am getting about 26.1 mpg, down from 27.0 now that I have to run the AC more...
"Wax on wax off"
Glad to hear you used the clay bar. Recently I took my `07 Aura XR in for wash, clay bar, and wax. Cost me $60.00. But my shoulders feel great! :patriot:
Hey guys/gals-
First time posting here:
I have a 2006 Tahoe Z71 2WD with stock Goodyear Wrangler AT/S
P265/70R17 tires. Door sticker recommends 30 psi in front and rear.
Does anyone have a recomendation for different settings to maximize treadwear and gas mileage?
Nice to be here...
