its safe to drive home. if you really lost all of your oil pressure you'd know it. the thing would sound like a diesel. chances are your sending unit is going bad.
if you stay with 575 or above you'll be fine. its just a little small block chevy so it's not going to need any huge battery to turn it over. i've started mine with the little 200 amp booster switch on my charger without trouble. i think my avalanche with the 8.1L only uses a 675 cca battery.
ok. heres what needs to be done. incidently, you do NOT even have to remove the door panel for this fix. just take the black plastic access panel off at the outer end of the door right below the lock mechanism (3 screws hold it in). reach up in there and grab the rod closest to the inside of...
after a little research, it appears others have done this fix by bending the rod inside the door to take up the slack that is causing the inner door release handle to not have enough travel to open the door. apparently something insside the door is stretching over time and causing the inner...
if you can open the door fine with the outside handle, it has nothing to do with the door striker. your going to have to remove the inner door panel and see whats going on inside there. mine does the exact same thing. have to roll down the window and use the outer handle to get out. its cold...
it has a double knuckle cv jount in the drive shaft to relieve some of the stress on the transfer case due to the extreme drive shaft angle and a rear locker. thats about it. it's not heavily modded. just wanted it to look cool.
i'm running toyo 37" tires on my hoe mounted on 20" avalanche rims and was wondering how much tire pressure you guys run with similar size wheels and tires. the big tires are new and i'de like to make them last as long as possible due their cost. truck is primarily driven to and from work by...
i would highly recomend procomp. here's mine with a 6" pro comp + an add a leaf in the rear. tires are 37" on 20" avalanche rims. the low sidewalls due to the 20" rims makes the truck handle like vette.
