    Trying to go bigger

The only thing I didn't like, was I had to go with the after market wheels. I liked the stock 20" spokes. Thanks for your input!

    Trying to go bigger

I kept on going back to the Pro-Comp lift. So, I took a gamble and went with it. So far so good. 6 inch lift on 35s with at 20" rim.

Leveling Kit & Wheels/Tires Are On

Looks great. I'm glad to see you got a set up that doesn't push the front tires out past the fenders.

    Pics of the level kit

I agree with emann. I tried while driving to work on the freeway. I coasted up hills while in V4, slowing from 75 down to 60. I will try this again after I get my lift. Sorry for the tread jack - Zed. I think its an acceptable height. I don't think it looks out of balance. I would be...

    Pics of the level kit

I'd be interested to read the tech article on how this actually works. I was under the impression that it did operate based on engine "demand". I don't have very many hills in my area and with that, I have the v4 come on all of the time. My neighbor "claims" that she was able to drive to...

    Trying to go bigger

I keep finding myself going back to the pro-comp lift. What bad things have you ( or anyone else for that matter ) heard? Is it more with the people installing the lift or the lift itself is bad?

From that picture, it looks pretty level. Any plans to change the tires?

    3/3 suspension lift...new shocks?

I was a little quick to respond, but if its a body lift or even a spacer kit, you most likely will not need it because the original shock is not extended -just the body. With a suspension lift, you will need a bigger shock. Sorry for the confusion.

    3/3 suspension lift...new shocks?

Yes, you need a bigger shock. If you don't - you will have a horrible ride. But you may want to post in 2000 - 2006 area to get better feedback.

Thanks for breaking down the numbers for me. You have given me a lot of usable info and saved me some hours researching. . .

    Lifting my tahoe

Oh yes - How could I forget? Nicest tahoe around, IMO. I was thinking that you had the body lift ONLY. . I can tell you are far from it. . lol..

    Trying to go bigger

I like the look of your truck, but I always thought it was a 4wd. Isn't the height/clearances different on 2wd vs 4wd? Ok, I will move Pro-Comp to the bottom of the list. I had Pro-comp on my crew-cab, and didn't have any problems - other than going thru tie-rods. Hopefully some other...

    Trying to go bigger

So, I bought my wife a 2008 Tahoe LT - 2WD. Bless her heart, she wants it lifted with 35 inch tires underneath. My interesting problem, after speaking to a few tech/installers, is if I go with a 6" lift, I need to have the driveshaft extended to prevent it from leaking. Has anyone heard of...

    Lift or lowering kit??

Majority of the Tahoes I've seen are lowered and running 24 inch rims. Be different, lift it!!

    Help on tire size

Did you have to do any trimming in the front wheel inner skirts? Looks good by the way . .. I'm assuming your truck is 2wd - right?

    Lifting my tahoe

Any pictures with your lift and tire combo? I think that would settle all of the non-believers. I personally, prefer the suspension lift, but after seeing my friends 2002 Expedition with a 3 inch body lift, I didn't think it looked that bad.
