Modern engines shouldn't knock. They have enough electronic engine controls to back off timing and adjust fuel maps to prevent knocking. I'd take it to the dealership.
I have a V1 in the Vette and 8500 in the truck. I like the both, but the V1 is the best radar detector on the market, hands down.
I've had my V1 since 1994. It's version 1.2 or something like that. :D I still haven't had to send it in for maintenance. That's 14 years, folks, and it...
To add to LaredoTexas comments, you normally get the rebate OR the financing incentive, so just do an amortization schedule to determine whether it's better to take the rebate or the low financing.
My C6 has a tendency to go sideways as well, the Denali not so much. :D Ken Thompson should take care of you. I buy a lot of trucks through him with the company I'm at, so you probably won't be able to get a full $16k (that does include GM card earnings and a $500 business discount, so $14k...
Oh, to answer your question, I got $16k off a new '08 2WD Yukon Denali (otherwise loaded) about 4 months ago. So, getting $12k off shouldn't be too hard on an '09. I would go to Classic in Grapevine and speak with Ken Thompson in the fleet group.
If you can buy a Denali, you should be able to put premium in it. Not to mention, don't you want all that horsepower the 6.2L puts out? I sure do, so I love putting premium in it.
My '08 Yukon Denali has done this a few times. I'll do the remote start sequence and it won't start. I'll try again and it'll just flash the parking lights. Quite odd.
I was not intending on being condescending, just curious as to the attitudes of other pet owners. Again, MOST pet owners care about their dogs as much as their kids, so I don't doubt the intentions of the others on here. Since the Yukon/Tahoe is 3 row, I bet using the harnesses and seat belts...
Any of you guys concerned about safety for the dogs (and you!) in an accident? We haven't put our two dogs (45lb Vizla mix and 65lb Rhodesian/Lab/Boxer mix) in my Yukon, but they fit great in my wife's Lexus RX. We have a cover over the back seat, we put on their harnesses, and use the safety...
A GMPP warranty is good at any Chevy dealer. It doesn't matter where you buy your car, where you buy your warranty, or where you get your service.
I can't remember the guy's name. Just ask for the guy who sells GMPP warranties on the Corvetteforum. That is how I found him. He can sell...
Fitcher Chevrolet in Montana has always sold GMPP warranties for their cost + $50. I got a warranty from them for my previous Vette and my dad got one for his Avalanche. If they're still doing it in a year or two, I'll get one for my new Vette and Yukon.
VehicleOne definitely isn't a GMPP warranty. I'd get my money back. Once things settle down you can get a GMPP warranty cheap online. You can buy a GMPP up until your original factory warranty expiration.
I talked to my buddy. He can do the 63-3058 (just like I got) for $265 shipped to your door, brand new. His family owns a large distributor of aftermarket truck parts. PM me if you want his contact info.
I'd like to, but I want this baby to last 200k miles, so I'm going to leave the stock tune, shiftpoints, and limiter there. :) It's fast enough for a daily driver already.
