Let me know if you get anywhere or hear anything from the dealer. My friend that works at the local GMC dealership advised me last time I was there to clean the car often after it snows. He told me that the mag chloride eats away at the chrome. He did notice a little spot on the rims with...
The 2nd row buckets recline, but don't move forward or back. Yes, with the third row installed you have no room for stuff. You'll probably have to get a cargo carrier or trailer, unless you get the Suburban or XL. If you are lucky enough to be towing a boat, stuff it in the boat. I liked the...
My wife was only used to driving small cars before we got the Denali. She was scared at first but it took her about a week and now she loves it. She won't even go near the Celica, so that's my commuter car for now. You get used to figuring how big your vehicle is and centering it in lanes...
The brakes on my Yukon never squeaked and I have 14k on it. I read this thread yesterday and this morning I heard the worst squeak ever. It only did it once but at 5am it could have probably woken up the neighborhood. From what my friend has told me ( mechanic at Meineke for around 10yrs )...
This is purely a guess, but I assume it is because of the high output alternator. My theory is that because the alternator puts out so much. The alternator doesn't need to max out the voltage to charge the battery back to full and still supply enough power to the rest of the vehicle.
I think I saw in another thread that you had a 07 denali also, apologies if I'm wrong. Are you planning on putting subs in this vehicle also? If you have time, post pictures of your box. I'm not really needing that much bass. I really like the idea of one 10 in the side panel like OCKevin...
I wanted to do 24's too, but 26's look even better. At first I thought it's too much of a price difference, but I'm thinking now that's it justifiable (hope I spelled that correctly). It is a lot of money though, but looking at Chevere's ride makes it worth it. I say this, but I can't even...
Question 5, yes you can extend the range of the remote start with an aftermarket alarm. But it is it's own separate system so you are not extending the factory system, you're putting in a different system with a longer range (which I did when I first got the vehicle). Pagers for alarms are...
I made that mistake and it is a mistake. I went by the fact that it says 87 in the manual and put in regular unleaded (85 since I'm at high alt) thinking to save maybe $5. The vehicle didn't ping but it felt like I was towing a trailer. It was cruel, when you get used to the power and have to...
I've been contemplating a sub box for a long time and can't really decide, so I figured I would ask your advice. I'm considering a box that will go behid the 3rd row and will hold 2 12's. Both are sealed, one is down firing and one is forward firing. What do you think will sound best? If you...
Yes, you can play a movie and listen to the radio either through the car speakers or through the headphones. With the headphones, you need to use the rear console. What you can't do is watch a movie and listen to a cd if you have the nav since there is only one slot. If you don't take the nav...
I'm not sure how the whipple supercharger package is designed, but magnacharger makes a supercharger kit for the 5.3 relying on the fact that it is E85 capable. Vehicles that are equipped for E85 have higher injector duty cycle. As an example, most cars are probably designed with a 75% duty...
As far as I know, no Denali's are flex fuel capable, so I didn't even check. In all the literature from GM that I have seen, there is only reference to the 5.3 being flex fuel.
Looks great. Can you please provide the info on where the work was done and how much? If I can afford it, I would love to have it detailed by these people.
I've never used it myself because I don't think my Yukon can take it. It is available in my area at a cheaper price. I heard a interview on the radio and the woman said that it was 1.89 vs 2.29, but the vehicle uses more of it so it evens out. She did say that she preferred it because of the...
Wife averages 14.xx with 70%hwy,30%city driving on a Denali w/ 13k miles. She uses the remote start religiously. I babied the throttle and got 20 on the hwy a few times as a test, but I don't believe it. I wonder if you overfill it, if it may trick the computer. Last summer I got 17 hwy on a...
