95 lift

I have recently purchaced a 95' tahoe, ls, 2dr. I want to lift it 4" - 6", have not decided yet. I have seen kits that include a new extended knuckle and kits that do not replace the knuckle. I was wandering if anyone has experiece with either type of kit? Do both kits lower the diff. housing...
