luggage rack

Has anyone ever tried to remove their luggage rack? I tried to remove the screws for the mounts and they just spin, the screws won't, come out. Are there weld nuts under the roof or what??? I had to remove the left rail because it was bent real bad, from wreck, but the only way to get...
