06 5.3 Water Pump Questions

So I have a pretty good size puddle under the front of the engine. I am pretty sure its coming from the water pump. I am about 15 min drive from the mechanic. Should I drive it or have it towed?

Does a water pump leak when the engine is not running? It appears that the puddle underneath is getting bigger.

I would not take a chance and just tow it
