1995 tahoe

Hello Tahoe fans. I have a 1995 chevy Tahoe 4x4 with a 383 carbarated motor. Threw a rod yesterday. . Putting a new 350 high performance in it producing 310 too 350 horse . I only drive in summer because of salt. When I bought it has front drive shaft taken out of it. Can I put a two wheel drive chevy transmission init. take out transfer case. Does it need to be from a Tahoe.. thanks new here.

I did this years ago except i pulled 4wd motor and trans and installed in a 2wd truck. Different drive shaft and trans outlet shaft. Doing it the way you are trying you may that plus different front end hubs. Not sure, just throwing it out there.
