Hello everyone,
Ive got a 96 tahoe with a mighty big clunk in the rear. Not u-joints, comes straight from the diff. Im not sure what to do about it right now, although im fairly certain it's ring and pinion. Should I leave it, get it rebuilt, buy a refurb, or go junkyard hunting? It produces a whine all while driving. And i would much rather hear my exhaust leak than the gear whine I assume that its making.

Its a Eaton 4.10 locking rear axle (G80 RPO) which ive been told is harder to find.
Thank you!
