Hello,
My steering box was replaced in my 1996 Tahoe. The mechanic mistakenly thought my truck was a 97 and put in a rebuilt steering box for a 97. Now The steering is so light and at highway speeds is utterly scary. When I questioned him about this and the steering box he put in he said the units for both years are the same. Is this correct? I just want to get the steering feel I’ve become used over the past 20 some years back. Any help or comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
