99 chevy Tahoe limited w/rear tailgate hatch

Can someone please tell me why I don't see any other Chevy Tahoe limiteds with the tailgate hatch. They all have the barn style doors on the rear. I've owned my Tahoe limited three years now and I've yet to see another one with the tailgate. And I've seen quite a few limiteds since I've owned mine. Thank you for your help.

They do exist Conley79....I just pulled out the whole interior of one at a junkyard here in California..Don't know the production numbers of barn/liftgate but they were produced..couldn't believe how great in shape it was in also...what a shame
