I am looking to buy a used Tahoe/Yukon. Been doing a lot of research but still have not come to any real definitive conclusions.

Some questions. Do the early models (2007-2008) have more problems than later models?

Which engine is best, iron block or aluminum?

What are these drive-trains good for? Should I avoid high mileage ones?

2011 here...

Well it is my first one, trust me it took me about two weeks of online searching to find one... IN HOUSTON. Im in southern california. It was worth it, 2011 LTZ 4X4 fully loaded. 35k miles.

This was in November of 2014 i havent had any major issues. The left power folding mirror seems like it wants to give out as it has slowed in the closing and opening time. The back left window has a light pop when it reaches the lowest poit allowed which is less than half way. Other than those two possible future issues theres nothing wrong with my beauty.

Sorry i cant answer your questions but im happy with my 2011. :peace:
