I'm new to the forum and originally came here to find out what was the biggest tire I could put on my 01 Tahoe, without a lift kit, or leveling kit. I just put 285/70R17's and am very happy with the results. Started out with 265/70R16's (stock).

Thanks to everyone for their input and suggestions. Very happy I joined!

Attached are my before and after pictures.

I'm running 305/45 R22 tires on a 9.5" wide 22" wheel on my 2002 LT and I think it's as big as I would go without a lift. The entire suspension is stock and I just replaced the rear auto ride shocks with re manufactured OEMs. The tire barely rubs the plastic inner fender when the wheel is turned all the way to either side. I believe the tires measure just shy of 33".... something like 32.6" or 32.8".

Welcome to the neighborhood!

IF you wind up with a little rubbing, you can crank the torsion bars a LITTLE (Never all the way) and gain some height that way, just make sure you have it aligned when you do. You can also trim the inner fender liners...

I put some LT275/70R-17 Firestone Destination A/T C on with no issue. No lift or any other mods needed.
