Certified Warranty

Guys-

So I know its bumper to bumper but what about a rear bumper with a rather large rust issue on it. The bottom side (which is still part of the painted part) is terrible. I would imagine not but hey, you can only ask if they would fix this.

I know its a common problem and I don't mind coming up with the cash to have the bumper redone but I wanted to ask.

chevys rust warrenty is very long. Somthing like 8 year 100k miles.

I've been told it only covers it if the rust is through the panel. Not surface rust. Thus I'm hoping maybe the certified warranty would maybe cover it.
