Changed Speed sensor but abs still engaging

A few months back my abs and break light would sometimes come on. Nothing happened while it came on so i payed it no mind. A couple weeks back my Abs started to engage once in a while when stopping. Yesterday I changed both speed sensors to the bwd brand form advance auto, it came with a lifetime warranty. Now its worst! the abs kicks in almost every time i break. Im stuck don't know what to do. I know gm did a recall on this back in 2005, and have no clue if they will honor the recall being my car is a 01 tahoe, and bought it second hand 5 years ago. Plan on calling them tomorrow hope they will honor it, but if they don't any suggestion on how i can fix this problem? Its driving me crazy!
