Hey guys,
My 01 Tahoe is lifted 6" and I just bought it off of a buddy. It's almost perfect inside and out with 170k miles. The thing is...the front end is humming...it almost sounds like a faint hum but it sounds like it's coming from the differential. Anybody experiencing this same issue?! My other buddy drove it and says his 02 does the same thing but louder. We did find some oil surrounding the diff housing. Is this normal?!
It almost sounds like a tire hum but it's definitely mechanical...and the noise rings a bell...I heard the same thing from my 4Runner that lost diff oil back in the day...
