2007 Denali XL has a fuel leak. When it has been sitting for a few days there is no smell, but as soon as key is turned there is a strong gas smell. When first attempting to start it, it turns over much longer than usual before it will start. It is leaving gas on the ground. This all indicates that there may be a leaking fuel line instead of a leaking tank, but not sure. Any help or insight on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

My 2007 Tahoe exhibited the same issues. Found out the metal fuel lines from the in tank fuel pump were rusted and corroded at the top of the fuel pump. When the vehicle was running, fuel was leaking out of the lines onto the top of the gas tank. Dropped the tank and replaced the fuel pump. Took care of the issue.
