heater core

Any one ever change heater core on a 99 to 06? Was told the dash is going to come out.
Any info would be great

Yes the dash must be dropped to remove the heater core. It's this way on a lot of vehicles today. It's a lot of work but mostly due to finding where all the damn bolts go. Luckily GM uses a lot of the same size bolts to hold down a lot of parts on the dash.
