Navigation Guidance Not Working

Hi,

I recently installed an OEM GMC navigation unit in my 2008 GMC Yukon. I purchased a harness to connect to the onstar and I tied into the VSS wire. The problem is my vehicle shows up on the map on the left hand side of the navigation screen, but the right hand side just shows a compass and never shows upcoming turn information.

It does does not give any voice prompts for upcoming turns. The only time it speaks is when it says I have reached my destination.

Any ideas what could be wrong? I went through the menus and read the installation guide, but can not figure it out.

thank you i appreciate it. im trying to get everything in order to install the oem nav into my 08 yukon w/o rear dvd and bose.
