I have a 99 Tahoe LS 5.7L with rear A/C. Have a leak in the high pressure line. I purchased a high and low rubber pressure lines to run to the back.

The problem I have is the down tube on the evaporator got boogered up. It is 8-10" long has a few bends, but is removable. I cannot find a replacement without buying a new evaporator. I seen there is one available for a Suburban. Will that one work?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I would keep the hard lines hard lines if at all possible. Define "boogered up"....

Suburban back end is a little different than tahoe, but it is a possibility....
