Remote Start not working. Was told that GMC discontinued this after a five year period. Anyone got the skinny on this? Never had a problem but

Are you talking about starting it from the phone app or from the key fob? The fob remote start should still work no matter how old it is. Starting it from the app runs through OnStar though, and GM has been shutting off connected service on older trucks or making you pay for a plan after the free period runs out, so that's probably what you ran into. What year is yours?
