Riding around town, I tend to hear the monotonous sounds of big trucks and train horns. Now don't get me wrong, that's decent idea to make lots of noise but....why a train horn? If you're driving a truck, why not a truck (Semi/Rig) Horn? I figured I should be different! Using a compressor combo and an 18-Wheeler horn donated to me by my cousin "Vic Deezy", I decided to chase the dream and be different! Here are some pics:

Just thought I'd throw in a lil eye candy!:D

It's mounted to the outside of the frame facing forward. (Minor drilling required)

The cleanest thing underneath the the truck lol. Don't make fun of the dirt caked on the bottom!

Beautiful! The great thing about this is that the horn is mounted in such a position that you can't see it from any angle unless you're underneath it, making it undetectable to the jakes (Police) lol.

Now here's a little clip of what it sounds like. Pardon my cousin "Vic Deezy" lol. I may keep this one or try to find one a little deeper, but it scares the crap out of ppl so I really can't complain! Enjoy, and comment please:D

I like it, sounds great. Was putting together a similar setup with the exception that I am going to attempt puttting it under the hood. I dont off-road to much but the underbody does get a bit mudded up at a few of my fav fishing holes.

Rick, if you need a solenoid for you horn, I got ya covered. I have 2 different types of solenoids. One is specifically for train horns/air horns, and the other is a pneumatic/water electronic valve. Im not really sure why I opted to use this one instead, but it works just as well. Also I'm using 1/4" Rigid(Name brand) air line from the compressor to th solenoid and from the solenoid to the horn. I removed one of the floor mounted strap hook thingies (?) to allow me access to the under body of the truck. I used a double sided 1/4" air connector and placed it in that opening. It fit quite well to say the least. Then I attached the air line from the compressor to that 1/4" line connector. I proceeded underneath the truck to connect the air line from the horn to the other end of the 1/4" line connector, using tightening clamps for the best seal. Again, not a perfect install, but it works perfectly!
