Torque converter or Trans failure

Today on the way home from the hospital, the Tahoe was acting kinda funny, about 1.5 hours into our drive home we heard a humming sound that went away with a small deceleration, about an hour after that I seemed to regain power through all gears but we heard the hum briefly at shifts, shortly after that it would not shift past 4th gear, and after stopping at a stop sign before getting home it wouldn’t shift past 2nd. Trans is probably toast I guess....am I correct in thinking 6l80?

So it was the torque converter and front pump failure that is apparently VERY common in the 6L80e transmission. Spoke with an acquaintance that works at Chevy...he said those are they only transmission parts for any make and model they keep in stock because it’s so common. He said and 09-14 6L80e will fail at some point
