I did the same thing. Now I have Bluetooth connection for hands-free calling and to play my own music.i bought an aftermarket radio from crutchfield for $79
My total was $102.99 from Crutchfield. The radio was $78. Because I am lazy and don't trust my soldering, I paid an extra $25 for them to prepare the wiring harness connector. Antenna adapter, receiver wiring harness, dash kit and instructions were included. I pulled my cassette deck and replaced it with another storage slot later. What am I missing here. I looked into it myself, miky2001, tlynch. I checked Best Buy and Crutchfield and there is more to it than just 79 bucks. There is at least another 100 bucks in installation and wiring kits and even then you are lucky if only half of all the functions and features still work. I looked into it and sorry to say but the after market solution is mediocre and won't do. I haven't decided yet what to do but probably will stay with OEM and pay the crappy reprogramming fee, especially since I value my 6 CD changer.
