Hi everyone. Name is Steve, I live in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
I picked up a 99 Tahoe last year. It's got a 5.7 vortec with 165 compression and 130,000 miles on the odometer.
I put in new Plugs, wires, Cap/rotor, Fuel Injectors, intake gaskets, intake bolts, gaskets and battery and she is running good.
Next on my list is cold air intake, computer programmer, roof rack, flooring replacement (maybe bedliner?),
suspension for light offroading, exterior lighting and more. I'm open to recommendations. I may do gears, supercharger,
cams or some other mods down the road. Not really sure yet, that's why I'm here.
I do some of my own work, my mechanic does the rest. I work in I.T. in the Health field.
The days of washing my hands in the parts washer are over. I had my share as a mechanic in the Army 97-01.
So, I have some knowledge but, I'm not a wizard.
I really haven't done anything to the Tahoe except get it running good. I added these photos so I can see how she looked in the beginning.
