I am in the market for a '07-'09 Tahoe. I have a line on an '09 Z71 (but it is not local).
My question is, on my '03 Z71 the nerf bars were decorative, meaning they were not mounted to the frame, just the body (who designed THAT SNAFU setup)?
Plus, if I were to have removed them, I would have been left with the plastic cladding with all the indentations.
Anyway on the '07-'12 models - are the nerf bars outfitted the same way? Or are they frame mounted? If they ARE body mounted and I were to take them off, would I be left with the out-of-place-looking cladding?
