Are the Z71 springs stiffer or do they ride higher than the stock ones? Are there aftermarket rear coils and front torsion bars that (with a levelling kit) will give me slightly higher load capacity with 750# or so on-board?

With the current (stock) setup the rear is visibly lower. Would like to get back to normal ride height when loaded as above and 2-3" higher when empty... Note, obviously I don't have the auto levelling option.

Or would in-coil air bags be the best choice...

Try some 1.5" or 2" rear coil spacers to raise the rear up, thats probably your cheapest option. Get some F150 torsion keys too if you want to raise up the front to level it out. Some beefier shocks (Rancho RSX, Bilstein 5100s) would probably help out too.

Don't know much about the in-spring air bags, I've seen them but I'm not sure about quality, reliability, etc.
