I have a 2000 Tahoe with the factory headunit still in there and there is an AUX button under the CD button on it. My first assumption is that it is for some type of auxillary input, am I correct on this assumption? If so, is the input behind the headunit or strategically placed somewhere in the truck. Either way what type of input is it RCA, 3.5mm, etc... Thanks for the help!!!

Thanks for that info...is there a kit or something you can buy to get rid of the tape deck once you swap out the factory HU?

You can probably find a little storage unit or something to stick in there. I might try crutchfield.com. I put a cb radio in mine and had some extra plastic laying around to seal up the edge gaps.
