Approximately when was your Tahoe assembled? Have you ever had a reflash done to the Body Control Module (BCM)? Mine was assembled in late January of 2007, and has never exhibited that behavior. I've had it reflashed twice since owning it. Once was for the battery rundown problem (#07033)...

I could be wrong about this, but by design and under specific conditions, you're supposed to be unable to lock the doors with the key in the ignition. I know mine my locks pop back up it I attempt to lock them while stopped and out of the vehicle.

Was Passlock even an option on the years covered in the particular forum? I know it wasn't an option on my '07.

I received my Tahoe back today after spending 2 days in the shop. They hooked their diagnostic tool up and got it to repeat the random turn on with no stoppage, so they ruled out the driver's control stem. Finally, they reflashed the Body Control Module and the problem ceased and went away...

I concur. It's operation is definitely controlled by the outside temperature. But unlike normal operation, in cold weather, upon remote strart, the heated seats come on, and it will blow (cold) air like crazy regardless of the coolant temperature as it begins to warm up, until you hit the key...

Happened to me too, but it was still under warranty. Reported replacement is $800. Grab that coil cord at both ends, and pull on it good. It will take some of the tension out of it. You know....in my state (MA), there's $0.00 deductable on any auto glass surface if you have carry that...
