So I got the infamous heater hose to intake leak. I was looking to replace the fitting hose and all with a standard brass pipe thread to hose barb all the way back to the valve. Is that what everyone is doing?
Also,
when I get the light and rough idle , the gas pedal is hard to depress. It feels as if its being held. When you apply enough force it will kinda pop then you can accelerate. Almost like the vaccum in the throttle body is so great that its holding the butterfly valve closed. :confused...
I get a code of ECV.
At idle and all ranges of operation engine runs rough. More noticable at idle. vehicle actually may stall at times at idle. Acts as if a Plug wire is grounding.
Very itermittent. I will go weeks without incident. Then all of a sudden here it is!

Did you try Crutchfield? If you have bought anything in the past , just tell them you are putting that stuff in this vehicle. Their CS are very friendly. They should oblige.

I really want remove mouldings. However being more exposed to A-holes and there doors in the parking lot is a concern. I too removed my wheel well chrome moldings and that cleaned it up a lot. One technique you could try is Fishing line. Move it back and forth behind the molding...

The Dealership honored it. New compressor and orifice tube. I sprung for a new dryer. $147 I have a completely new system.
