To answer my own question, I heard back from Peripheral, and the PXAMG does not have the 35 display limit, so it looks like that's the one I'm going to get. The rep told me that the PXAMG is much more functional and easy to use than the PXPD3, and they are currently working on a Bluetooth module...
I have the factory Nav -I prefer a stock look, and I hate having things mounted on the dash/windshield. Plus, it's integrated with the rest of the features, and it's voice-activated - I never have to take my eyes off the road.
So Peripheral has finally released the long-awaited Automotive Media Gateway (performerly known as the PXDG, now the PXAMG) for the 07 Tahoe (link), but I'm not sure if I want this one or the PXPD3 that dcbeltran installed. The PXAMG installs behind the stereo - not the XM - which means that I...
Saw one today while dropping my kid off at school. It's definitely bigger (i.e. taller) than my Tahoe, but then again, I'm sitting on stock 17s. It's beefy-looking, but I thought it was much uglier as well. It's really hard to improve on the current Tahoe exterior, at least IMO.
No wind noise with my Tahoe. It's quiet in there - much quieter than my old SUV, and much quieter than the Expy which I test-drove prior to getting my Tahoe.
All of the DVDs in my Tahoe are backups that I've burned onto DVD+/-R discs, and they play fine. However, I have no idea whether it will read/play DVD mp3 audio files only.
I looked long and hard at the Expy before getting my new Tahoe, and when it came down to it, I liked the Tahoe in every category except for the fold-flat third row. I like the looks of the Tahoe quite a bit more, and there's no comparison for the interior - the Expy dash/interior just looks...
Got mine 10/1, and I have about 2400 miles on it. No issues to speak of, though the back panel of the dash (where the defrost vents are) is coming up in one area. It appears to be a clip issue. I figure I'll have the dealer fix it when I get my first oil change.
I'm averaging 14-15 around town, 18-21 on the freeway, and in mixed driving usually a solid 16-17 (if the mix is at least 50% freeway). Overall the DIC is pretty accurate - I reset it at every fill-up and also calculate my mileage manually.
You guys need to drive around with the Instant Econ...
Having just bought my Tahoe a month ago, I've driven all of the cars on that last (minus the Commander - that never entered the discussion) in the past few months. Needless to say (since I bought one) the Tahoe was the clear winner in my book. Simply put, the Tahoe looks better both inside and...
I've had my Tahoe about 3 weeks, and have about a 1000 miles on it so far. On the freeway, it will stay in V4 mode fairly well so long as the road is flat and the cruise control is on with the the RPMs less than 2000. On a short roadie that I took Friday (about 250 miles round trip) I was at 21...
Mileage will be a tad worse than the 4x2s due to the heavier weight (and will be significantly lower during the time you have 4x4 engaged). Reliability should be the same, although repair costs can be higher on the 4x4. Ride should be the same.
FWIW, I had a 99 Isuzu Trooper before this that...
