I can't give you any advice about the new exhaust system, but would you be interested in selling the OEM exhaust once you do the upgrade? I like the looks of the Yukon Denali exhaust and I am a Colorado member as well.

A update to my system, the "single" cat from a 1995 only has one bung for an 02 sensor, so I will be adding two before the install. I have all components and will be doing the swap next week sometime.

I'll take some pictures.

Can the magnaflow 23453 work for this application? it has 2 cats and 3 of the o2s I think.

That is what it calls for (magnaflow 23453) but to me that system is foolishly designed. I want to simplify the system and get better flow, hence two, 2 inch pipes into a 3 inch cat to the muffler. I'll also drop 20 pounds of weight going to a single cat setup. Plus cost savings, my entire exhaust will be $629.00 installed from headers to chrome exhaust tip. Installing 2000 Denali spacific items would cost $806.00 plus shipping

Got it all on today, took 6 hrs no broken bolts, the EGR tube was a PITA though. The only issue is the mating of the Magnaflow Cat to the Jardine muffler/tailpipe. Deeep Sound, pulls harder, will see if there is any mileage increase.

pics

first three are of the new system - the person I went to to get the exhaust aligned couldnt figure out the he just needed to extend the end of the "y" pipe 3" and redid all of my hangers:iq:

The last two are of the old exhaust pipe.

Hey right on, way to get that knocked out.

After an exhaust upgrade, its a great feeling to know that you sound cool.

I have a 2000 Z71 Tahoe. same as the 2000 Yukon Denali. i have Edelbrock shorty headers with true duel exhaust. i did feel an increase and i also ran my Tahoe on the Dyno. sounds great. i have not done that cross over pipe yet but that is next on the list since my cat's are going bad.

i love the sound that mine puts out.

it REALLY sounded good in the shop on the Dyno.

Make sure if you use this same set up that you have someone who can delete the rear 02's. Its loud but not to loud, and my Scanguage is telling me that I am getting almost 20 MPG now:thumbsup: . I'll figure it out manually after my next fill up.

There is always the option of having a custom system done.

The thousand dollar cost was worth it to me. The cut outs added 25 HP on the chassis dyno.

Now that I have recovered from cardiac arrest after seeing 95TwinTT's twin hair dryer........wow. On any forced induction vehicle freeing up the exhaust is going to give you more bang for the buck than NA.

I'm not looking for any big HP gains - just making the engine more eficent so I can get some more mileage out of it since our "commander and chief" is doing NOTHING to stop these ridiculous fuel prices.

i spent around 300 bucks ti have my true duel exhaust cat back done. i spent around 300 on the headers. and i would really recomend getting roler rockers for around 250 for the whole set of 16. just replacing your rockes will give you 30 HP. (if you get roler rockes)

i also have an MSD ignition box on my truck. it gve me about 2 miles to the galon.
